Most businesses already hold valuable knowledge. The challenge is that it often lives in different places: inboxes, documents, spreadsheets and the experience of a few key people. A well-designed internal tool can bring that information together and make it useful at the point where people need to act.

Make information work across your business

That might mean a knowledge base that helps staff give consistent answers, a dashboard showing where enquiries and projects stand, or a client portal that brings documents and updates into one place. When a tool reflects how your team actually works, it can reduce repeated admin, make information easier to find and help people respond with confidence.

What we built behind Stonehut Intelligence

Our own example is Stonehut Intelligence, the Intelligence Bar built into our website. What visitors see is a simple way to ask about websites, eCommerce, business systems, automation and AI. Behind that interface is an extensive, privately managed knowledge base containing the Stonehut-specific guidance that informs our answers.

We built the system with Lovable and connected the knowledge base to OpenAI. The knowledge base has its own private management area, where we can add and revise the guidance behind the assistant. That separates the information we control from the public interface visitors use.

When someone asks a question in their own words, OpenAI interprets it and composes a response informed by Stonehut’s knowledge. A visitor might ask which platform suits their requirements or how a website could connect to existing processes. The system can respond to the context of each question rather than match it to a fixed answer in a short FAQ list.

The privately maintained knowledge, the OpenAI integration and the bar embedded in the website work as one connected system. That is what makes Stonehut Intelligence more capable than a generic chatbot placed on a page.

It also gives prospective clients space to explore their requirements before making contact. They may come to us with a clearer view of the challenge and a more specific question, creating a more productive starting point for the project conversation.

What could your version look like?

Your team might benefit from a private assistant that helps staff find answers, an approvals system that shows what needs attention, or a client portal connected to the information you already manage. The right starting point depends on where knowledge is hard to access and where work repeatedly slows down.

Stonehut can help you map that process, identify the useful connections and shape a tool around the way your business operates.
